Its OK. by J. L. Stema
I got this cooler as a Christmas present and though it gets the job done, it’s a bit noisy. I have a 15in PB G4 and it’s a very quiet computer, even if the computer fan is running… and I can still hear the fans of the cooling pad over my computer. It makes weird sounds every now and again too. They’ll last for about a minute and go away, but eh, I’ll take what I can get for free I suppose. ^_^

These work really well… by B. Martin
I bought 4 of these. Two that go under my laptop and my wifes and two to set in a cabinet that houses my router and 4 external hard drives. I set the drives and router on top of the cool pad. These do an amazing job. I really recommend them, and they are very quiet, actually silent.

Simply Amazing! by Charles B. Williams
I am usually not inclined to write reviews but simply had to for this product. First, I ordered it on Monday and it arrived today! Once out of the box and comfortably under my HP DV9000 laptop, I plugged it into a USB port adn powered it up. The three fans are super quiet (the fan in my laptop is louder!) and they almost immediately started lowering the temperature of my laptop.

I know most people are concerned with the temperature of their laptops while resting on their legs. I solved that problem with one of the Hampton Inn’s laptop desks (a nice leather cushion under a wooden desktop). My temperature issue was with the wrist rest on the laptop. I have two 120GB hard drives under the wrist rest and the temperature can get hot enough that I’m unable to put my hands there for more than a few minutes at a time. The DataStor cooling pad has done the trick in lowering the temperature to the point where I’ll be able to go hours without having to worry about burning my hands!

I highly recommend this product! I may have to even order a few spares!

I’ll drop back to update the review with durability results once I start hitting the road with the cooling pad.

Not bad, although gave it away by J. Seder
This item is OK. I ordered two cooling fans; one for myself (this one) and the Belkin one for my son (Little bit more money - although worth it)

I wanted to see for myself the difference, both came with good reviews.

Both are nice and work well, only the Belkin one is a better FANning system. It produces more air and a better air flow.

I gave my item away and have since ordered the Belkin for myself as well.

It depends how much cooling you need / how often you use your computer…

It’s nice and does produce air… I just felt it wasn’t enough air and the air flow was direct and really pushing hot air out of my unit.

Thank you.
